January Therapy

Happy New Year!  I'm back with a roundup of all the fun activities we will be using in therapy this month!
This game is brand new and makes planning mixed groups so easy!  I have several games just like it for different holidays/seasons and a few more in the works. I print a bunch of gameboards (front to back) and laminate them. You can use any small objects to cover the squares.  I found these mini-snowflakes in the dollar section of Target.

Another fun game for mixed speech groups.  I have several paper bag games like these for different seasons/holidays.  My 2nd-5th graders usually enjoy these the most! The best part about paper bag games is that you play during therapy and then send home for home practice!

I combined my articulation and language snow globes into one file this year.  Under the cotton balls are speech and language targets. All grade levels enjoy making their snowglobe, just stock up on cotton balls and glue!

This file has a wide variety of materials to practice basic concepts such as naming objects, identify objects, following directions, 3-step sequencing, and labeling.  We use the playdough mats all through Winter.

Mini-Eraser Speech
This is a new activity this year to incorporate my growing collection of mini-erasers!  There's just something about mini-erasers that keep my kids engaged. I also like that these gameboards are half-pages to save paper.

New Year's Eve No Prep
Each of my no-prep seasonal files has a comprehension passage with questions that I use for a variety of skills besides the obvious, answering WH- questions. They also contain great vocabulary cards to spark conversation and increase vocabulary skills.

These packets contain ELA and Math pages.  I focus on the ELA pages in speech therapy but the math pages are so fun too!

These are fun to make each year for my Pre-K through 1st graders.  They don't quite understand the concept of a "resolution" but it gives them tons of practice with their articulation skills! A blank hat is also included to use with kids working on language skills or for kids who just want to make a hat.

This file is great for the middle grades, 2nd-4th.  It has non-fiction and fiction passages with vocabulary cards and comprehension questions.

Another great file for mixed-language and articulation groups. This picture is before we dotted the pictures.  Anytime the dot markers come out my kids get excited!

I love this file for Pre-K and Kindergarten as well as my younger students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

We are always trying to get as many trials as possible during articulation therapy and this easy print and go activity definitely delivers.  Sometimes I let my kids dot the snowmen and sometimes they chose to color them in.

Before I go, don't miss out on my FREE file to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr! You can download it for FREE by clicking the picture below.
I hope that has given you some new ideas for therapy in January!
